How do I order?

The first thing to do is to message me. If your local we can arrange a day for you to pop in with your items and go over things. If your further a field and need to send the items, you can message me some photos of what you have. I can give you a good idea of what would work best before sending.

How many items do I need?
​
This is probably one of the most common questions I receive. It all depends on the keepsake you require & what sort of items your thinking of using. As a rule I need at least one item similar in size to a large mans shirt per memory bear. I can mix and match more items though and use one items over a few bears. If you don't have enough fabric, I can supply extra fabric for the less prominent parts to make your special garments go further.

Baby-grow memory bears require a minimum of 5 long sleeve sleepsuits aged 0-3 months per bear, any smaller & I'll need at least 7-8. You can add other items such as dresses, dungarees and vests. Baby's trousers don't have much fabric so I'd require a few more of these.

Lighter or plainer colours work best for the head so you can see the eyes & nose, if you don't have anything suitable, I can supply a tan fabric or fleece at no extra cost.

What fabrics can't you use?
​
Knitwear can be a bit tricky. If its handknitted and a loose knit then I might have to say no. I might be able to use it on a certain part of your bear but parts like the head I wont be able to.
​
Thick garments like faux fur, sheepskin or real fur are too think I'm afraid. Leather is also a bit of a tricky one so I'd have to see the garment before I make a choice.
​
Wedding dresses or items with lots of beads, sequins or frills I usually say no to.
​
Plastic garments can also be a bit tricky.
​
If I receive an item I'm not 100% sure I can use, I'll always say no rather than risking ruining the items. I know how precious most items are so I'd never just give it a go.
Do you need a deposit?
​
No deposit needed or upfront payment, you can pay once your keepsake is ready.
How do I pay?
​
If collecting a keepsake, you can pay cash on collection or bank transfer.
If I'm returning your keepsake via Royal mail, I'll message you with a photo and the final invoice. You can pay via bank transfer. I'll then send you the tracking details once you've paid and send your keepsake to you.

How long is your waiting list?
​
Waiting times on keepsakes can vary, especially depending on the time of year. I don't book slots so as soon as I receive your items, then you'll be on the waiting list. The time will be from when I receive your items, not from when you contacted me. You'll need to get in touch, especially if you need a keepsake for a certain date.
How do I book a consultation?
Consultations are by appointment only. Send me a massage or give me a ring to arrange a day and time that suits us both. As a rule I'm available most

Mondays 12pm-6pm
Tuesdays 9am - 5.30pm
Wednesdays 9am - 5.30pm
Thursdays 10.30am - 5.30pm
Fridays 9am - 5.30pm

I try not to work weekends due to family commitments but if Saturday is the only time you can make it, then it will have to be between 10.30am - 12pm. No afternoon bookings I'm afraid. Please contact me first though as I might have other customers booked in or may not be available.
If for some reason you can't make it or your running late, please send me a message as soon as possible.

Remember to add a not saying your name, a phone number, return address, how you contacted me originally such as Facebook, Instagram, email, etc. Also include details of what keepsakes you require along with any special instructions such as embroidery/ personalisation.

As soon as I receive your items I'll message you and let you know my ideas.
​
When sending items through the posts please make sure they are sent in a secure package and tracked. They are not my responsibility until I receive them.
How much is return postage?
​
As a rule return postage for one - three bear starts at £6.50 for 48 tracked with Royal mail.
Please contact me for return orders larger than three bears.
The maximum of memory bears I can send in one parcel is five, for bigger orders I'll have to post in multiple parcels.
Memory cushions will be returned without a cushion pad and only as a cover. I won't charge for return postage as your not getting the pad. It'll be cheaper & easier to buy your own once you receive the cover. I also don't like squashing my keepsakes as they might go out of shape.

Smaller keepsake will be charged at the cost of postage & packaging. Please contact me first with the quantity of what you'd like so I can give you an estimate on postage costs.

If you want the left over fabric from your keepsakes returned, the postage will go by weight so might cost a little more.
Can I personalise a keepsake?
​
Yes you can. I offer an embroidery service as well as the option to add vinyl wording. Some fabrics aren't suitable for either but I'll let you know once I see your items. Also the less wording, the better quality.

For my memory bears it will cost £2.50 per foot for embroidery
Cushions blankets cost £4.50 per square, embroidery or vinyl, it depends on the fabric.

Keyrings, bags and Christmas stockings are personalised with vinyl only.
​
Please double check the spelling on each keepsake as it might not be possible to change or will include an extra charge if I need to correct them.
What size are your Memory Bears?
​
My memory bears come in one size, they are designed to be sitting upright. When sitting they measure 13.5 inches from bum to top of ear. The whole bear measures 18inch from foot to ear.
Are your bears CE tested and suitable as toys?
​
NO Please note: My bears are intended to be keepsake items for display purpose only and not children’s toys. They are not child tested & it is impossible to CE test these bears individually, they should not be given to young children. Not only are there small parts attached but certain garments would inevitably wear over time, your bear may get tired & even risk ripping.
Can I return a keepsake?
​
All sales are final . As your keepsake has been made to order then it can not be returned or refunded. If for some reason your not happy with your keepsake or there is a problem that is my own fault, then please get in touch so I can rectify the problem.
​
If you require any special details or have an idea in mind, please discuss this with me before I start on construction. If your happy for me to go ahead and do what I think is best, then this is giving me free range to work with your garments. Please don't change your mind after I've made the keepsake.
